a short vampire visual novel made as a joke in a week for a friend on tumblr. a joke that i put too much effort into.
(its my first time properly making something with ren'py, so comments are welcome! let me know if anything is broken ^u^)
MEET:
vampyr bloodedge- aptly named, and also seemingly seeking refuge from the pouring rain. the most normal of the four.
lord roscelyne valor laurent-evander gardinier- the out of touch vampire lord. insists on his full name being used, but no one listens.
darien- lord roscelyne valor lau- im not saying the whole thing. lord roscelyne's butler and most trusted confidant. always seems to know more than he lets on.
H.S.- the quiet vampire hunter thats found his way into the castle. he seems to want something from you, but you arent sure what....
FEATURING:
really bad bits that are only funny to me!
multiple endings!
uneven route balancing!
mid as hell writing?
the same background for every scene!
at least 4 lines of dialogue!
unused blush sprites?!

HI i dont really write comments on games but i just wanted to let you know that this is the FUNNIEST thing I've EVER played and I'm not joking. Dev if you're thinking of making more visual novels PLEEEEEASE do this is so good.
ALSO I love your art!!! it's soooo good like i love your art style and the way you drew the background is so good that i am just. in awe.
ALSO ALSO this is just straight-up well-written ngl! the plot flows smoothly from scene to scene and even in places where the reason for plot to continue is contrived(h.s. agreeing not to kill lord roscelyne yet bc the party needs a host is so freaking funny. even funnier how the narration lampshades it.), it still moves forward in a way that just feels very clean and well-paced!!!

theres no designated tumblr for it but my main is @/fxngtasy and i do post some stuff there for it ^u^ i reblog everything in the tag there too! it was actually a gift made for a tumblr friend :D

I loved it Vampyr is my favorite so yes, I will imagine the date he and the mc had was amazing (๑•́ u•̀) if you ever make another game joke or not, I will definitely play it :D
lucky for you there were plans to make a vampyr centric sequel bc he got so little screentime,,, it got put on hold for Reasons but one day!!! one day.......
